Business leaders often miss that motivation and engagement are a ‘Gift’ given to them by employees. When employees decide to go the extra mile they do it willingly, beyond payment, with a free contribution of their talent, ability and skill. Discretionary effort is a response to how they are being treated by your organization. See them, connect with them, and appreciate them. No cupcakes in the break room arranged by your assistant compare to a sincere thank you and display of real gratitude. I've worked with companies helping them design interactive experiences that help team members connect to the organization on a much deeper level. Those team members felt truly connected to their work and cared about the organization on a whole different level. How can I help your organization achieve this?
